Ladbrooks Family

Spanning over three generations, the Ladbrooks’ at Paki Paki Road in Hastings are one of our longest-standing family of peach growers!

Allen and Julie (pictured left) have been growing a variety of fruit with Wattie’s for over 40 years and are now solely focused on peaches. Allen grew up growing Golden Queen peaches, as he watched and learnt from his father before him. Julie’s family is no stranger to Wattie’s either as her father began growing peas with Wattie’s in the 1940’s.

Now Adam and Erica (pictured right) with baby Hannah are picking up the reins. The orchard they are standing in is full of one-two year old trees, with the summer ahead being their first fruit bearing season.

What an incredible Wattie’s family tree!
