This year’s Canterbury A&P Show promises a great line up of entertainment from cooking demonstrations with top chefs, the thrills and excitement of the Lumberjack Show ‘Bushwacker Bonanza’, Clydesdale 100th Anniversary Displays, the comedic talents of Heath Franklin and his alter ego Chopper in the Tui BaaBaa Bar, plenty of live music, and all the Show favourites.
Wattie’s own, Cordon-Bleu trained Home Economist, Di Swann, will be demonstrating some fantastic, quick recipe ideas on Thursday 10th November from 11:30a.m. – 12p.m. and again at 1:30 – 2 p.m. And on Friday, Lana Garland, the Food in a Minute® host will be showing us how she delivers these great new recipes. Don’t miss Lana at 9:30a.m., 12:00p.m and 2 p.m. Lana will also be available for a ‘meet and greet’ at the demonstration kitchen inside the marquee.
Lana relishes her role cooking in public and on television, and has a real love for NZ produce. “I’m using some great produce to create these delicious recipes this year – Wattie’s hand-picked Hawke’s Bay Pears, Hawke’s Bay Beetroot and Canterbury Peas. I’ll be making an incredible Chocolate Beetroot Cake, some Pear and Vanilla Crumble Muffins, a Beetroot Hummus and a Minted Pea Dip – all fantastic for the family this Summer”.
Wattie’s will also be giving away thousands of great new eco shopping bags to show goers this year!
See you at the demonstration area in the NZ Food & Wine Pavilion.
